A Culture of Environment+Religion+something similar to the Venus project.com (project ain't entirely based on reality) + a more advanced type of old bartering system ... Don't think we could withstand another World War (economic problems) do you???

Culture of mending - Make this "*fashionable* with a Saachi and Saachi style campaign and *affordable* and do-able (so that such mending is not mor e expensive than buying new).
